Other Projects Currently In Development

Pellet Brain, last update on October 12, 2025. Currently a sub-project of my Climate Czar system, but is soon to become it’s own separate project on GitHub. This is what runs my pellet stove in my greenhouse and heats the water in my fish tanks if they drop below 63F. My intention is to add a secondary operating mode so that the unit can be used to run a pellet grill. I’m tired of replacing controllers in my Landmann pellet kettle, so I decided that I will just make my own replacement so I can control the quality of the components. This modification began on May 15, 2026 and I don’t have any estimated release date or sales plans as of yet.

LoRa+CMD+CTRL (aka: LCC), started on July 1, 2025. Yet another project that got interrupted by life and website sales. This is my own spin on DCC/WCC for model railroads, but mine can actually be used for other automation purposes as well. My spin on the system is different because I use LoRa communications rather than WiFi or Bluetooth because LoRa runs on a lower frequency that isn’t congested with RF noise and interference. The system consists of a server running on an Orange Pi SBC that you connect to over WiFi and then it communicates with ESP32 powered receivers over LoRa modems which I have tested up to 6 miles apart. I’m still working on this as I have time, but still have no estimated release date or sales plans as of yet.

Cutting Board, started on February 19, 2024. I started this project and then got interrupted by life and an explosion of website sales, but I’m back on it again. This is an automatic jar advancer for making distillation cuts, but can also be manually advanced to the next jar. This project will soon be a turn-key kit like the Airhead that contains the controller, linear actuator and turntable driver, as well as the turntable. This can be permanently mounted to any surface with screws or temporarily attached with Velcro. I’m still not sure of a price, but I’m trying to keep it below $200.
