The RPi Smart Still Controller System
Complete turn-key RPi Smart Still controller systems are now available by special order only. Keep in mind that this is a 100% premium product using top-notch components, there are no bargain-basement versions.
These systems have been built for everything from a Still Spirits T500 system all the way up to 100 gallon commercial stills with four 4500 watt heating elements in the boiler. They support water cooling valves from 1/4″ all the way up to 1″ and the system works with either gas or electric stills.
The target market for these systems are craft distillers who need to reliably reproduce a branded product. However, many home distillers have also built these systems to simplify things and tame down a touchy still. Yes, you read that correctly, you can also build one of these systems yourself with basic hand tools. No soldering required! Just a wire stripper and screwdrivers.
If you choose to build your own, I sell the assembled and tested Raspberry Pi hats, complete 3D printed PETG cases, as well the LIDAR Hydrometer Readers. Everything else can be purchased from Amazon. It’s easy to build and once the system is tuned to your still, every distillation run just got a whole lot easier!
I have covered this system extensively in the Technology Assisted Distillation playlist on my YouTube channel ever since the days of the initial prototype. Even the content in the older videos still applies to the current iteration of the system, so they’re all worth watching. These will help you decide if this system is for you.
Keep in mind that this system doesn’t take away your ability to manually run your still. It merely allows you to “replay” a run in order to duplicate results, so long as you have also duplicated your recipe as well.

Additional Product Notes
Since all cases are 3D printed, you have your choice of Black or White, this will be confirmed after the order is received. Other colors may be available upon request, but will require an additional fee and delay time to ship. Cases are 3D printed using PETG filament to make them heat resistant, without emitting the foul odor that comes along with ABS.

I have made this product an open source project on GitHub since day one. This includes all source code, diagrams, and 3D models.
You are more than welcome to build your own from scratch, make a fork of the project and improve upon it, anything you wish up to and including selling your own version. Simply honor the GPL.
