Panhandle Ponics Website Lobotomy

Due to the fact that I intend to retire at the age of 62 and only do my own thing as a side-gig, I did a lobotomy on this website and stripped it way down. I intend my to keep developing and selling my GitHub projects, but I’m pulling back from the freelance programmer-for-hire thing and only accepting extremely selective offers. Don’t worry, I’m not jumping ship and abandoning support for all of the products that I’ve sold here.

As most people know (those who know me) I absolutely detest making websites because I’m simply not a web designer. I also detest websites that are full of eye candy because I go to a website for information – not for a Las Vegas side-show. So that’s why this new version of the website is so basic and bare-bones. I actually told a local car dealer a few years ago that I bought elsewhere because of all of his annoying website animations.

Anyhoo, this website now only contains information related to my programming and electronics projects and the “Greenhouse Stuff” menu item jumps a person over to my 3DGtower.com website. I also added an “Other Projects” page to list other things that I’m currently working on that haven’t been officially released on GitHub as of yet. Lastly, yes – I know, this website looks better on a regular computer screen than on a phone or tablet.

As for those asking how in the world I can retire at the age of 62…It’s called being a debt-free home owner and refusing to take out loans or rack up credit card bills. I confused a former employer by going part time for the last 2 years I was there and he kept expecting me to come back full time so he didn’t have to hire somebody else. That was a test to see if I actually could live on retirement income and there were absolutely no problems.
